Denver
Big City Mountaineers enhances the lives of under-resourced urban teens through transformative outdoor experiences. Our teen hiring program is expanding rapidly and we are hoping to receive donated computer equipment for our teens to use. Pentium IV or better desktops are most in need, but we would also consider scanners, printers, LCD, digital cameras and similar equipment for these teens to expand their technology knowledge. If you can help, please email Mark Godley or phone 303-271-9200, ext. 411 or 510-909-2830
Durango
Durango Arts Center - Established in 1966, the Durango Arts Center (DAC) has served southwest Colorado for forty-two years building a solid, interesting, and challenging series of visual arts exhibits, children's arts education programs, and associated cultural events. DAC's mission statement is "to enhance the visual and cultural arts for the enrichment of the individual and the community." Events and programs are planned and supported by a variety of committees made up of volunteers, a board representative, and facilitated and directed by a professional staff. A committed and representative twelve-member board of directors meets monthly. Our computer equipment has aged and slowed down, yet the staff and programs are operating as fast they can to deliver high quality programs to meet a growing demand for them. We would love to be able to process enrollment, member surveys and record keeping with greater efficiency. New computers will help us to better serve our membership, donors and students with their needs.
