For The Children Partners in Prevention, Inc., a 501(c)3, non profit organization, is a voluntary health public charity qualified for charitable contributions under the Internal Revenue. This agency is 11 years old with a mission of preventing any risky behavior (drugs, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and sex). Our facility is used for an after-school site where young people are able to receive job readiness, SAT preparation, and other academic coaching from various educational software. The young people will have an up-dated computer laboratory to access the internet and have computer access.

Patient Advocate Foundation - Founded in 1996, Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) is a national non-profit, 501(c)3 direct patient services organization with a mission "to safeguard patients through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of their financial stability." PAF serves as an active liaison between patients and their insurer, employer and/or creditors to resolve insurance, job retention, and/or debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis through professional case managers and a national network of health care attorneys. PAF case managers work with patients to determine local, state, and federal programs that provide assistance for their individual needs. Direct Patient Services are provided to patients nationwide at no cost. Patient Advocate Foundation is headquartered in Newport News, VA and has offices in New York, North Carolina, Iowa and California.
Any donated computer equipment would be solely utilized to support the mission of Patient Advocate Foundation. We are currently seeking desktops, laptops, and servers that have at least a Pentium 4 processor. We are also seeking G4 desktops or laptops Macintosh computers, including Power Macs, MacBooks, Mac Minis and iMacs. Norfolk
Project Light, a nonprofit organization located in Norfolk that specializes in the development of literacy software and establishment of computer based literacy and GED learning centers. Because Project Light's literacy curriculum is computer based, we and our learning centers depend on computer donations which enable us to establish new learning centers in distressed communities, upgrade some of our existing learning centers, and continue the development of our literacy software.
