Kinsey Elementary School - Amy Hardy, Speech Language Pathologist, writes: We are starting a therapy based preschool in conjunction with our local headstarts. The therapy preschool will be housed at Kinsey Elementary School and will serve children ages 3-5 with special needs. Our hope is to not only enrich their lives with some computers in the classroom, but also increase their knowledge of technology. We are wanting anywhere from one to three computers. We are looking for any computer and we are not picky, just wanting to run current software for Assistive Technology and Power Point. Thank you for your time and consideration.

If you can help, please contact Ms. Hardy - 928-220-0597 - Kinsey Elementary School, 1601 South Lonetree Road, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001

Drexel Elementary School, Sunnyside Unified School District #12 - Kathleen Mauro, RN, School Nurse, writes: "We are seeking three Pentium 4 (or better) PC laptops, preferably with wireless cards installed, 1 interactive (Smart) white board and three wireless mice.

Elementary school students will use these laptops while in the nurse's office to conduct searches on chronic illnesses, medications, first aid, air quality, and a variety of health related topics. The students and I will use the interactive white board to prepare and conduct presentations, and to post daily and timely health information in the hallway outside my office.

Our school is a Title 1 school, has a free and reduced lunch rate of 96%, and serves a predominately low-income, minority population of 620 students. My office budget is approximately 75 cents/student/school year supplemented by donations and thrift shop finds. If you can help, please email Ms. Mauro or phone 520-545-2700. Thank you very much!"

Tucson

Johnson Primary School - Johnson is a Pre-K through 2nd grade primary school. Our 2 Pre-K programs are 50% students with developmental delays. Our school serves a high population of English Language Learners, and Native Americans. We have students with various disabilities ranging from severe language/communication delays to mild to moderate learning disabilities. I am the case manager for 12 students who have severe to moderate delays in more than one area of physical, academic, social, emotional, or cognitive abilities. Through the use of technology all students are able to access the curriculum. Technology increases our students' ability to communicate with their peers as well as being able to fully participate in classroom activities with adaptations.

We would like to get more up-to-date (Pentium IV, or better) laptops, communication devices, voice output devices, smart boards, technological devices, and desktop computers that will help students who are learning English as well as student's with Special Needs. (any computer adaptations that would assist students with mobility, or adding specialized equipment to computer). If you can help, please email Teacher, Linda Stewart

Toltecalli Academy - Natalie Carrillo, Principal, writes: We are a small charter high school that serves predominantly low income students on the south side of Tucson. We have recently purchased software that will help to track our students progress, but we have a very limited number of computers and very old computers for them to work on. We are looking to update the oldest computers in the computer lab. We would also like to build a mobile computer lab with at least 10-20 laptops, so that teachers do not have to wait to use the computer lab. Any donations are helpful, small items such as mice and keyboards help us tremendously. Any donation that you are willing to make will be put to good use!

Seeking Pentium IV (or better) PCs. If you can help, please email Ms. Carrillo or phone 520-807-7923
