Schools seeking donations in Missouri
Ellsinore
East Carter Co. R-2 School - Mary Jo Bell, Grant writer and Art teacher writes: We are a rural, K-12 public school in Missouri. We are happy to have an elementary art room this year. For the past three years, the elementary art teacher shared elementary classrooms, teaching from a cart, and then for 1/2 of a year used an old gym locker room. Now that we have an actual art room, we are seeking a Smartboard and we may need a more up-to-date computer to run it. Our Art Club has raised money for art supplies and decided to help the elementary art classes by purchasing a projector. Our students, K-12, create various types of artwork throughout the year and could benefit by this technology. Please take a moment to look at some of our art work. Thank you for any help you can give. If you'd like more information, please email me, Mrs. Bell, or phone 573-322-5420 ext 158.

Smith Cotton High School - Brennan Ransdell writes: Smith Cotton is a Missouri public high school. The number of computers is limited to one computer lab in the library with many old computers (most being around 2000's). I will be teaching Geometry next year, and would like to be able to conduct discovery activities using the Geometer's SketchPad, WebQuests, etc., but with the limited number of computers available this just simply is not possible. At the very least I would like a computer projector to allow for classroom activities. We simply need technology to break free from the traditional lecture and memorization techniques of teaching math in order to make the learning experience for students more meaningful.
Seeking Pentium four (or better) PCs, laptops, and computer projector. If you can help, please email Mr. Ransdell or phone 660473-2558.
West Plains
Faith Assembly Christian School - Charlie Barnet writes: We are a school of around 100-120 Students and none of our classrooms have computers thus making it hard to teach in this day and age of everything needing to be done on computers. It would help the students learn through hands on expereince and activities that we could access through the internet. It would also help our Teachers get ideas and other things done for the classroom. The only computers that we have are the ones that we placed in our computer lab but that is not accessible to every student and to every teacher and some classes need it directly in their room during the instruction and learning time.
Seeking Pentium IV, or better, PCs, smartboards and anything that deals with technology. If you can help, please email Mr. Barnett or phone Cell- 417-280-6737 School- 417-256-1817 ext: 104
