Canyon Elementary - Teacher Jamie Miner writes: Canyon Elementaryis a primary school teaching K-5th grade. Most of the classrooms only have 1 computer, mainly for teacher use. My classroom has one newer teacher computer (on my desk) and one computer for student use that is very old. This computer crashes about once a day and my third graders working on it lose all their work. This computer is used mainly for them to take AR Reading tests on. Sometimes they will be in the middle of a test, and the computer will crash and they will have to start all over. If I could get at least 1 new computer to replace the old computer, that would be great. Also, if it were possible to get 2 computers, then the students would not have to wait so long to take a test. With our school district growing in leaps and bounds every year, they currently do not have the technology budget to provide more than 1 computer to each classroom. This is why I could use your help.
